Are you bullish on the euro? How about the yen? If you were sharing your opinion with our new Trader Sentiment feature, I’d already know!
Launched today in beta form, Trader Sentiment lets you broadcast your opinion on currencies, commodities, stocks, and interest rates – right on your FF profile!

It’s pretty simple – you share your sentiment through an interface in your Control Panel, which then shows up on your public profile. Now anyone can see your detailed market outlook at any given time.
At this point Trader Sentiment is just a neat feature, but it can become a super useful tool if lots of traders use it regularly. For starters, we could mine the community data to show aggregate sentiment in truly useful and groundbreaking ways. We could also create alerts for sudden sentiment changes, show community and individual sentiment history, let you subscribe to another member’s sentiment, or even view your friend’s aggregate sentiment.
So try it out, then comment or contact us to share your thoughts and observations. We’ll be monitoring the feedback and usage, and if it starts catching on we’ll get to work on the upgrades!

It might be fun to see the sentiment if it was gathered as one viewable interface, as you mention here. Let's hope that we can get to that point, just for the fun of it =) I wouldn't share any high hopes for creating a tool that would add something useful for professional trading but who knows.
this is cool. a collaborative "forex factory sentiment tool" might be more useful. anyway, keep up the good work guys...
I would like to see a summery of all traders to countertrend trade that result, as 95% of all traders lose, my new (sentiment) system would have 95% chance to win, lol.
This is great but what if the majority of the traders blogging on this are the trolls who infest this site with nonsense or just complete total psychotics.
I believe it will become used by many users. It will be interesting to see FF memebers' sentiment.
I like the idea. I think it might be even better if it appeared just next to login box, so I don't need to dig into my profile everytime. Additionally I would add some option like how long you want current setting last. I'm loging in every couple of days, however would prefer to place sentiment that is valid only for one day [or only for two hours before and after data release]. To sum up: 1) anquette next to login box "what is you sentiment currently" 2) option of time suspension of given sentiment
Great idea, love it. Not sure if it's my system/browser, but I can't delete my sentiment (javascript is enabled). I click the remove button which appears to remove it but it's actually not removed (refresh page or view profile and it's still there). Please excuse my ignorance is this has already been reported or is an error on my part. Cheers
